The Aiea Taiheiji Judo Club started in 1965 under the direction of Sensei Wallace Uehara. With about ten students and his assistant instructors, the club was successful for many years. In 2003, Sensei Uehara retired and left the club in the capable hands of the current instructor, Sensei Ken Oda. Sensei Oda produced many talented Judo practitioners over the years. The club is now under the direction of Sensei Curtis Sano, a student of Sensei Oda.
Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
